Abstract

The purpose of this article is to observe Deleuze’s relationship to Spinoza’s thought, drawing special attention to its modifications. The chosen point of observation will be Deleuze’s work Spinoza. Philosophie pratique. Especially the last chapter of this book, entitled Spinoza et nous, will allow us to fix that a reassessment of the relationship between substance and modes, which stresses the importance of the latter, is a necessary condition in order to let Spinoza’s thought fully meet the demands of a philosophy of immanence and difference. Our brief reconstruction will be focusing on three key concepts: plane of immanence, body, power.
