Abstract

L'unità di disegno e colore nella pittura di Cézanne rivela l'ambiguità dell'essere-al-mondo umano: non subjectum davanti al cui sguardo il cosmo si 'disegna', dominato, in modo chiaro e distinto e nemmeno soggetto decaduto, irrimediabilmente votato al non-senso. Lo spazio nell'opera di Cézanne, che abbandona definitivamente la prospettiva planimetrica, si rivela appunto uno spazio di reciproca strutturazione tra il soggetto e l'oggetto. Meditando su questa lezione Merleau-Ponty trova la via per superare i classici dualismi, svelando l'unità uomo-mondo nell'enigma della visione. Attraverso l'ontologia il filosofo tenta di modificare le premesse del discorso occidentale, mostrando l'intreccio, la confusione, lo scambio inestinguibile tra termini distinti.The unity of drawing and color in Cézanne's work discloses the ambiguity of man's being-in-the-world: not subjectum, at whose glance the ruled universe 'draws' itself in clarity and distinctness; neither impoverished subject, irremediably consecrated to non-sense. The space in the work of Cézanne, who definitively renounces the planimetric perspective, reveals itself as a space of mutual structuration between subject and object. Meditating on this lesson, Merleau-Ponty finds the way to overcome classical dualisms, revealing the man-world unity in the mistery of the gaze.
