Abstract

O presente artigo, partindo da consideração do infinito ético, procura responderà questão acerca do papel da ficção como elemento essencial no métodofenomenológico de Levinas. A hipótese central para responder a esta questão éque a necessidade de uma linguagem hiperbólica sugere a ficção literária comolinguagem ética. A partir desta tese, a obra de Dostoievski será consideradacomo “hipérbole ficcional”. Para compreender o tipo de fenomenologia que estásendo proposta por Levinas, o artigo termina comparando Levinas e Nietzsche.Em face da tradição oriunda de Husserl, é possível falar com Levinas de umafenomenologia radical da transcendência. Starting from the idea of the ethical infinity this paper addresses the questionabout the role of the fiction as an essential element inside the phenomenologicalmethod by Levinas. The main hypothesis to answer this question is that the needof hyperbolical language suggests the literary fiction as ethical language. On the basis of this thesis, Dostoevsky’s work will be considered as “hyperbolicalfiction”. The article finishes comparing Levinas positions with Nietzsche inorder to understand what kind of phenomenology is the case here in face ofthe established tradition that comes from Husserl. It is suggested that it ispossible to talk about one phenomenology of radical transcendence by Levinas
