Abstract
This study compares the national COVID-19 mobile apps of EU countries, Turkey, the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand as an objective indicator of their eHealth efforts for COVID-19 combat. Grey relational analysis approach is employed to compare and rank the COVID-19 mobile apps of the countries. In this respect, 27 mobile apps are compared and sorted by 17 objective attributes. According to the results, the UK’s “NHS COVID-19” mobile app was ranked as number one, followed by the applications of New Zealand and Turkey. This study also finds keeping up-to-date is an important issue for the success of the COVID-19 mobile apps. For that reason, other countries should take actions for maintenance and continuous improvement of their mobile apps. This is the first study—unbiased and reproducible—which rates and ranks the national COVID-19 mobile apps with objective criteria as an objective indicator of countries’ COVID-19 eHealth combat.
