Abstract

Joy Sorman was born in 1973. She likes to write about what she does not know, and explore improbable topics. She asserts that she has no imagination whatsoever, which implies for her to work a lot on documentary sources. The body is at the core of her work and this body can also be that of an animal. In a dyptich-like construction, Comme une bête, published in 2012 and La peau de l’ours in 2014, Joy Sorman investigates the links between humans and animals, in texts which are at a crossroads between fables and documentaries.
