As a result of technological innovations and new cultural practices, the contemporary mediasphere is increasingly populated by digital(ized) faces. The phenomenon is not limited to human faces, but includes a vast universe of fictional animated faces, variously called ‘characters’, ‘mascots’ or ‘kyara’. In Japan, while certainly not new, kyara have been spreading thanks to globalization, digitalization and media-mix strategies. Through the connection between visual design, fictional narratives and socio-cultural consumption, kyara can be considered semiotic figures of in-betweenness, key symbolic mediators (...) in the Japanese mediascape. Their anthropomorphic face design mediates the cultural boundaries between the human and the non-human, the animate and the inanimate, nature and culture. Furthermore, their post-modern narratives mix inspiration from the past and the present, from myths to science fiction. Lastly, they involve an encyclopedic reworking between fiction and reality, mythical references and secularization, between the domains of seriousness and playful make-believe. The article aims to explore the semiotic dimensions of kyara in contemporary Japan, with emphasis on their logic of representation and cultural outcomes. These will be investigated through the analysis of the Pokemon franchise, which will make it possible to describe the emergence of new semiotic patterns of ‘playful visual animism’ in the process of media facialization of everyday life. The survey sums up some of the most important contributions to the philosophy of mathematics and physics made by the Belgian philosophers Renoirte, Dockx, Devaux, Ladrière, Hirsch, Apostel and Ruytinx. It is shown that most Belgia philosophers of science are more interested in giving a critical account of the actual practice of the working scientist than in sketching speculative and idealized pictures of science. This frame of mind is also affected by the allegiance that Positivism in its widest sense commands (...) in Belgium together with Gonseth's Idoneism and Piaget's genetic epistemology. The survey also refers to the seminal ideas of the new rhetorics developed by Prof. Perelman whose school in the philosophy of law has obtained important results in the analysis of the historian's and lawyer's reasoning. Selon cette interprétation, Gonseth propose une connaissance à deux étages: a) une étage intuitif, informel, proche des préoccupations quotidiennes et de Paction, qui s'exprime en langage naturel et dont les concepts gardent une certaine souplesse: c'est, dans la métaphore du béton, le ciment; b) un étage de théorie ou de schémas simplificateurs, plus rigides, qui ne représentent jamais totalement ľétage inférieur: c'est les cailloux (...) du béton, qui ne sont pas autonomes, mais sont plongés dans la connaissance intuitive dont ils sont issus et qui leur donne leur sens. Philosophy attempts to work out an integrated view of the universe, of human nature, and of society. The specific philosophical science which has concerned itself with integration/ disintegration, is Integratism. This is the common denominator of different particular problems in the integration /disintegration of the universe, (...) society and personality; and it supplies a possible philosophical solution to the general problem of disintegration. The main concept of integratism is integration [Lat. integer, complete]. My theoretical and empirical study of various aspects of integration/ disintegration problems in modern science and education has led to the formulation of a new, rather systematic and, I believe, quite useful conception of contemporary integratism that contributes not only to the attempt to develop a theory of integration/disintegration processes in various biological and social systems but also to practical problems of developing contemporary integrated educational systems. Further concepts of contemporary integratism are: integrative level, IDon, adaptive disintegration, ADon, disadaptive disintegration, adaptive reintegration, sanosphere, pathosphere, etc. The philosophy of integratism might provide a possible philosophical solution to the general problem of disintegration and in this way assign priority to certain particular problems concerning the disintegration of the world. La réflexion vient ensuite, utilise ces marques, en forme des images qu'elle peut évoquer à volonté, et qu'elle structure en représentations: langage intérieur, puis langage de communication. Une « intuition » est l'affleurement conscient d'une marque laissée par la pratique, et son insertion quasi‐instantanée dans le système des représentations internes. Les progrès alternés dans la pratique, dans l'association des images, (...) dans le langage, dans l'action se suscitent les uns les autres, au cours d'une évolution conditionnée par nos structures physiologiques .La pratique sur laquelle s'exerce ainsi la réflexion peut ětre la pratique měme de la réflexion.
