This study aims to look at the role of Psychological well-being as a variable mediating the relationship between Work-life balance and Job Performance in nurses in hospital group X. The method used in this study uses correlational quantitative with hypothesis analysis using Process by Andrew Hayes. The results showed a direct relationship between Work-life balance and Job Performance of 0.732 with a P value <0.05. Meanwhile, the indirect estimate value between Work-life balance and Job Performance is Mediation of Psychological Wel-Being (...) of 0.419 with a P value <0.05 which means that Psychological well-being mediates the relationship between Work-life balance and Job Performance. The implications of the research findings indicate the necessity for policies and programs that support nurses' well-being to achieve a balance between professional and personal life. Initiatives aimed at enhancing psychological well-being, such as flexible work schedules and access to mental health resources, can not only improve job performance but also the quality of patient care, leading to a more resilient and efficient healthcare system. The study aims to adapt and validate the MHC-LF in Indonesia. The sample used was 315 participants (29 client group and 286 general group. Psychometric property analysis was carried out, including item analysis, reliability estimation using test-retest and internal consistency, and collecting validity evidence based on test content, internal structure, and relationships with other variables. The results showed that psychological well-being item number 10 and social well-being number 3 had insignificant loading factor values. MHC-LF reliability is high, with r= 0.85-0.94. (...) This shows that the score produced by the MHC-LF is stable over time, and the items that compose it have internal consistency and are unidimensional. The expert panel judgment provides evidence that all MHC-LF items are relevant to measured aspects. Confirmatory factor analyses confirmed the three-factor model of emotional, psychological, and social well-being. MHC-LF is positively correlated with WEMWBS and negatively correlated with BDI-II. The difference in the mean scores of each subscale and the total significantly differed between the general and client groups. The validity evidence proves that the MHC-LF is a measuring tool that measures subjective well-being. The systematic judgmental scale provides evidence that the measurement tool for the translation results is equivalent to the original version. (shrink)

Medical co-assistants are at significant risk during the COVID-19 pandemic due to exposure to more substantial stressors, including handling patients, academic pressure, and reduced rest times. Moreover, their continuous exposure to disease during the COVID-19 pandemic places them in significant psychological distress. These challenges can potentially affect their subjective well-being. Effective stress management strategies are imperative to reduce susceptibility to adverse consequences. Resilience has been identified as a key protective factor against the detrimental impact of stress. A study involving 102 (...) medical students who became co-assistants during the COVID-19 pandemic investigated the relationship between resilience, stress, and subjective well-being among medical co-assistants. The study found that resilience among medical co-assistants in Indonesia was negatively correlated with stress and negative affect, and positively correlated with life satisfaction, positive affect, and affective balance in subjective well-being. Resilience plays a crucial role in helping individuals recover from challenges and failures, viewing these setbacks as opportunities for growth and learning. This positive outlook contributes to increased positive affect and enhances their subjective well-being. Ultimately, this lowers their stress levels and reduces negative aspects that may impede their performance as medical co-assistants. (shrink)

Academic procrastination is a behavior commonly exhibited by college students. The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of academic burnout and smartphone addiction on academic procrastination, both partially and simultaneously. A cross-sectional survey design was employed, involving 214 students from a state university in Jambi Province, Indonesia. We adapted the Short Form of the Academic Procrastination Scale, the Oldenburg Burnout Inventory – Student Version (OLBI-S), and the Smartphone Addiction Scale - Short Version (SAS-SV) for data collection. The findings suggest that academic burnout and smartphone addiction are predictors of academic procrastination, with a stronger effect observed from smartphone addiction on academic procrastination. This research has significant implications for addressing academic procrastination by reducing academic burnout and smartphone addiction. Interventions targeting self-regulation could also be pursued, as they have proven effective across all variables examined. Adolescents pregnancies out of wedlock have many negative impacts on adolescents. Among them are prolonged trauma, a crisis of self-confidence, getting various psychological shocks and the most influential on the personality of the adolescents themselves. Personality in adolescents who are pregnant out of wedlock can help adolescents to maintain resilience in dealing with various kinds of negative impacts due to pregnancy out of wedlock. Therefore, this research aims to investigate the relationship between the dimensions of the big five personality and (...) resilience in adolescents who are pregnant out of wedlock. The method used was quantitative with a correlational design. A total of 102 adolescents who are pregnant out of wedlock became participants in this research with the sampling technique used was incidental sampling. This study used the Big Five Inventory scale with each dimension extraversion (α = 0.762), agreeableness (α = 0.751), conscientiousness (α = 0.797), openness to experience (α = 0.758) and neuroticism (α = 0.690) and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (α= 0.864). The data analysis method in this research used the product moment correlation test from Karl Pearson. The results of the research proved that there was no relationship between extraversion and resilience (r=0.023 with sig.=0.410 (p>0.05)), there was no relationship between agreeableness and resilience (r=0.016 with sig.=0.437 (p>0, 05)), conscientiousness with resilience (r=0.107 with sig.=0.143 (p>0.05)), openness to experience with resilience (r=0.072 with sig.=0.236 (p>0.05)), neuroticism with resilience (r=-0.099 with sig.=0.162 (p>0.05)). This showed that personality, in this case the big five personality was not one of the factors associated with increasing or decreasing resilience in adolescents who are pregnant out of wedlock. The development of information and communication technology has led teenagers to use gadgets and the internet for prolonged periods of time. Besides being used as a means of entertainment and communication, teenagers nowadays tend to search for health information through the internet. However, some people are anxious about their health condition and begin to diagnose themselves or seek certainty on the internet. Excessive searching for health information on the internet can lead to cyberchondria, which is associated with fear and anxiety. (...) To support these efforts, this study aims to analyze the psychological impact of cyberchondria on teenagers. The methodology employed in this study was a literature review that involved five stages: gathering literature, selecting relevant materials, evaluating the literature, drawing conclusions, and discussing the research results, using a total of 12 relevant articles. The results showed that the psychological impact of cyberchondria on teenagers consisted of cognitive, affective, and conative effects. Moreover, cyberchondria can also cause non-specific somatic complaints in teenagers. Educational institutions are transitioning their learning modalities to flexible learning from remote education; educators and staff continuously encounter ambiguous work demands that negatively affect their well-being. Literature indicates the influence of autonomy support, psychological capital, work engagement, and economic factors (i.e., financial preparedness and job insecurity) on well-being. We propose that social, psychological, work, and economic factors influence the well-being of university educators and staff. 315 employees voluntarily completed the autonomy support, work engagement, hope, self-efficacy, job insecurity, and financial preparedness (...) scales. We used IBM SPSS Amos for the confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. Five separate models were conducted to test the research objective. Results indicate good to excellent model fit indices for the research scales and structural model. We also found that self-efficacy, work engagement, hope, and financial preparedness during emergencies positively predict well-being, while job insecurity is detrimental. Our findings could serve as a basis for mental health programs to address the mental issues of educators and staff. (shrink)

This study aims to describe and develop science teaching materials using the CTL approach to improve self-control of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 21 Lubuk Lintah Padang which are valid, practical and effective. This type of research is development using a modified 4-D model. The results of this study are the average score of science teaching materials using the CTL approach with a validity value of 89.4% (valid). The results of practicality by the teacher obtained results of 87.5% (practical), (...) and from the results of practicality by students obtained results of 84.5% (practical). The results of the effectiveness of using teaching materials get an average of 0.74 (effective). The objective of the research was to improve the students adversity quotient competence who have been studying at the eight graders of Public Junior High School. The students improvement in their adversity quotient competence was facilitated through group guidance service. This was pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post test design. The subjects of the research were 9 students. The result of the study showed that, Before the students have been provided with group guidance service, the students pre-test average (...) scores were 53%. Their competences were in low category. After the students have been provided with group guidance service, the students post-test average scores were 70.2%. The students competences are in high category. Overall, the students adversity quotient competence is improving into 17.2%. Based on the result of inferential analyses using Wilcoxon signed rank test, it was found that it’s significant was a = 0,05 with its Pvalue = 0.008. Pvalue ˂ a. The test result indicates that Ha is accepted. It can therefore be concluded that group guidance service is able to improve the students’ adversity quotient competence in Public Junior High School. Bullying is one of the events that repeatedly arises in schools and associated to varies between individuals. One of the sources of bullying is the poor self-awareness held by students. This study tries to investigate the effectiveness of the Karpman Drama Triangle to build up students self-awareness using Quasi Experiment Design. The results of the study indicated that the Karpman Drama Triangle was useful in enhancing students self-awareness to reduce bullying behavior. It also informs us that the Karpman Drama Triangle can be an option to develop students self-awareness in reducing conflicts and bullying behavior that exists between students. The difference in the status of self-awareness between students before and after treatment is expressed is also illustrated. Career success has different meanings for each level and condition of the person. Careers have a range at every level of life, from children, and adolescents, to adults. However, none of the studies reveals the meaning of career success at the adolescent level, such as students. Therefore, this study aims to understand the concept of career success from a student's perspective. What is the meaning of career success, and what are the characteristics of students who are successful in their careers. (...) This research uses a qualitative case study design approach. Data were collected by face-to-face semi-structural interview technique. Participants in this study were 20 high school students. Data were analyzed by the narrative analysis method. The study's results revealed that students gave meaning to career success, including objective and subjective, such as the ability to achieve self-efficacy, self-happiness and make others happy. Students' career success characteristics are grouped with abilities in knowledge, attitudes and skills. Studies have investigated antecedents of job satisfaction, however, little is known about the predictive role of job tension on job satisfaction as well as gender difference on job satisfaction among academic staff in Nigeria. Using job demands–resources model as a theoretical framework, this study examined job tension on job satisfaction among selected academic staff of Nasarawa State University, Keffi. Participants were 75 academic staff with a mean age of 42.11 recruited from six faculties in the university. Data were analyzed using (...) simple linear regression and t-test for independent sample analysis. Results showed that job tension predict job satisfaction among academic staff. Also, female academic staff has higher level of job satisfaction than the male academic staff. The findings suggest that industrial and organisational psychologists should redesign academic job roles in such a way that it will devoid of stressful and tension socked pressure which will have positive implication for better job satisfaction among academic staff. The study tried to determine the money script pattern of undergraduate students of the university of Lagos, with the aim of examining the influence of socio-demographic factors on their money script pattern. The study involved a cross-sectional survey of 385 undergraduates. One standardized psychological instrument; the Klontz-Money Script Inventory, was used to elicit data from the participants. The results show that sex had a significant influence on the money script pattern of two out of the four types of money scripts, (...) that is F = 7.74, P.05 and F = 0.52, P>.05. The other socio-demographic factors; marital status, age, educational level current socio-economic status and childhood socio-economic status did not significantly influence the money script pattern of the participants. The study concluded that the sex of participants to an extent, influences the money script pattern of undergraduates and educational level, marital status, age, current socio-economic and childhood socio-economic status have no influence on the money script pattern of undergraduates. The purpose of this study is to investigate the predictive effect of Conscientiousness, Academic Self-Efficacy and Self-Esteem on Academic Procrastination among Counselling Students. Three hundred students studying Counselling in a College of Education in Nigeria, West Africa were selected through the simple random method and completed the measures of Conscientiousness, Academic Self-efficacy, Self-esteem, and Academic Procrastination. The result from the correlation matrix and hierarchical regression model shows that academic procrastination behavior of students is explained by conscientiousness, academic self-efficacy, and self-esteem. Startup co-founder who has multiple roles in the company, requires good resilience ability to faces problems. This study aims to determine the resilience dynamics of the millennials generation startup co-founder when facing the challenges in forming their startup. The qualitative-phenomenological approach was carried out through semi-structured in-depth interviews and observations, on 4 (...) participants who were selected by purposive sampling, with the criteria being a co-founder of startup that has been established for at least 2 years, when being a co-founder they were still as a college student, millennials generation. The data validity technique was carried out by method triangulation, time triangulation, and member checking. Data analysis was carried out using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. The results show that there are three phases of the millennials startup co-founder resilience dynamics, the initial phase, in the form of self-actualization motivation and the trend of establishing startup; the stress phase, in the form of co-founder task stressors, academic, social, and expectations; the adaptation & awakening phase, in the form of coping mechanisms and support systems. The results of the study can be used as a reference for millennials startup co-founders to build resilience. Further studies by increasing the number of participants, and using more reliable theory, are highly recommended to increase the validity of the findings. (shrink)

The purpose of the study was to describe the psychological well-being profile of adolescent victims of body shaming. The research method is descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach. The instrument uses Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale and body shaming questionnaire. The distribution of the questionnaire was carried out with the help of the Google Form application with a total of 30 respondents. 40% of respondents victims of body shaming indicate good enough psychological well-being, 26.67% of respondents indicate a good category, 26.67% (...) of respondents indicate a very good category, and 6.67% of respondents indicate a poor category. Adolescent victims of body shaming based on the percentage of the total score on each dimension of psychological well-being the largest is purpose in life, followed by the autonomy dimension, personal growth, positive relations with others, environmental mastery, and the smallest percentage was obtained by self-acceptance dimension. There is no significant difference in psychological well-being of adolescent victims of body shaming based on gender and age. (shrink)

This study aims to determine that the relationship between self-efficacy and parents aspiration with the interest in advanced studies to college of students either partially or jointly. Data collection tools use self-efficacy scales, parent`s aspiration scales, and the interest in advanced studies to college scales. We using simple linear regression and multiple linear regression to data analyzed. The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the learning process. Changes in interaction patterns in the learning process from face-to-face laerning to online learning affects the psychological well-being of students. This study aimed to determine the description of psychological well-being in students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Ahmad Dahlan University. For college students, a crucial psychological aspect is psychological well-being, which contributes to academic success and life. The results showed that of the 318 respondents divided into five category, there are very high category, high category, middle category, low category, and shallow category. However, if the other category were included, the overall picture of Ahmad Dahlan University Faculty Teacher Training and Education students is in the medium category. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of relaxation music therapy to reduce academic anxiety before carrying out the final academic exam. The type of this research is Pre-Experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. Furthermore, the ability of students to respond to the pretest was still in anxious condition which resulted in the results of the pretest being still moderate. In contrast, when RMT has been given treatment, the student's ability to respond to the posttest has become low. These findings could be used by counselors to reduce academic anxiety of final year students at the University and the implications of guidance and counseling are discussed further. (shrink)

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques to improve endurance of 1st grade students at SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. This experimental study used the Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The study population was students of 1st grade SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. The research sample consisted of 54 students. Through random sampling, 23 students were placed in the experimental group and 31 students were the control group. Data collection in this study used a (...) questionnaire. The data in this study were analyzed by independent samples t-test using JASP Version 0.7.5.5 and d’Cohen for calculate level of effectiveness. The results t = 8.577 with p= 0.001, then p <0.05. Effect Size testing shows a high level of effectiveness. These results prove that cognitive behavioral counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques is effective for improving the endurance of 1st grade students at SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. (shrink)

The spread of a COVID-19 pandemic has made restlessness, anxiety, stress even depression in society. It also encountered by the students who are undergoing an online learning process, the online learning systems with different learning weights than usual make students depressed and even stressed. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to reveal the level of Junior High School students' stress learning during the COVID-19 pandemic reviewed from gender differences. This research is a comparative quantitative study aimed to compare the (...) difference in learning stress levels of students. This research involved 78 students of State Junior High School 24 Kerinci as respondents. The research data was obtained by using the learning stress scale developed by researchers and analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. The present study examined the role of service quality on organisational performance among telecommunication employees. A survey research design was used to conduct this study with a sample of 123 employees selected using a two-stage sampling technique in Lagos. Data collection was through a self-reported questionnaire that measured service quality and organisational performance. Results indicate that there exists a significant positive relationship between service quality and organizational productivity of the Nokia telephone company.service quality had significant joint influence on organizational productivity (...) [R =.54; R² =.29; F = 13.21; P<.01]. The study concluded that service quality predicts organisational performance. The study, therefore, recommended that quality in service delivery be boosted by adding more value-added extra services to customers. Digital-based learning problem, particularly during COVID-19 pandemic, has given both serious obstacles and risks to the student with disability. Under a rather limited self-sustaining capacity, often it inhibits each learning dynamic that are being held. This challenge will certainly affect the mental and physical health of the students. Hence, the effort requires adequate self-provision and environmental roles to facilitate the student with disability to surpass the obstacles. Therefore, this study aims to understand the correlation between self-regulation and peer support to (...) burnout in undergraduate student with disability. This study uses quantitative design with multiple correlation approach. The research participants were 41 students selected using snowball sampling technique. The measurement scale consists of self-regulation scale, peer support scale, and burnout scale. The result of the study shows that there is a similar correlation between self-regulation, peer support and burnout. Each independent variables has significant negative relationship with the student's burnout. Low levels of burnout illustrate how students with disabilities are able to improve their self-regulation skills and able to seek and acquire appropriate support from college friends, to address any difficulties in the educational process. Use of cannabis for recreational, religious and cultures has been prevalent since ancient times. It is one of the commonest used illicit substance. While not all cannabis users develop psychiatric problems, heavy cannabis use may increase the risk of cognitive abnormalities, psychotic illness and mood disorders. This research aimed to evaluate severity of various psychotic symptoms in relation to variables of cannabis abuse. A cross sectional study of 30 male patients admitted at tertiary care psychiatric center with diagnosis of cannabis-associated (...) psychosis was carried out. Cannabis abuse variables along with psychotic symptoms severity on BPRS scale were obtained. Correlation between variables of cannabis abuse and psychotic symptoms and total BPRS score were derived using Pearson correlation 2- tailed test. Hostility and excitement were most prevalent symptoms with increased severity followed by elevated mood, grandiosity, suspiciousness and motor hyperactivity. Patients with long duration and early onset of cannabis abuse presented with more severe form of psychosis. Frequency of cannabis use was not significantly correlated with total BPRS score, although amount spent over cannabis was significantly associated with total BPRS score. Family history of cannabis abuse predicted early onset of cannabis abuse. (shrink)

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of cinematherapy in improving student self-control. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sample of this study were 21 Unindra students. The self control instrument used is a Likert scale model. The results showed the percentage of Pre Test and post test showed that there were 4 students who had self-control in the excellent category of 19%. Furthermore, there are 17 students who have a good category (...) by 81%. Next, if seen from the t test results show that the value of the Pre Test obtained an average of self-control or a mean of 218.9. While the Post Full Self Test value was 222.9. So with that it means descriptively there is a difference in the average of self control between the Pre Test and the Post Test results. However, it is not significant. This study analyzes the effect of compensation system on teachers’ organizational commitment mediating by quality of work-life. The research data was collected by a questionnaire through the survey methods toward 325 teachers of a private school in Indonesia. The results show that compensation system had a significant effect on teachers’ organizational commitment mediating by QWL. This research designed to exploring interpersonal communication based on students perceptions of group guidance and the harmony of their family. This is correlational research using an ex post facto design. We managed a survey of 155 junior high school students. The results presented that there was a significant influence between students perceptions of group guidance services and students interpersonal communication skills; there was a significant influence between family harmony and interpersonal communication skills, and; there was a significant influence about group (...) guidance services and family harmony with students interpersonal communication skills. The findings on this study provide us information that students perceptions of group guidance and family harmony contribute to the influence of students interpersonal communication skills. The corona virus which hits Indonesia brings about a great impact on education. The learning system that is usually carried out in a face-to-face interaction changes with an online system. The online learning system which requires children to use gadgets is quite to have a big impact on children's development. The former children’s habit who were not using gadgets began to change for reasons of learning. After learning is complete, children play gadgets. The resulting impact is a decrease in interest (...) and enthusiasm for learning. This must be controlled by parents and teachers to restore students‘ interest and enthusiasm for learning, especially of a school age students. This research was a qualitative research employing interview and observation methods. The research sample was elementary school age children who are in Seputih Banyak District, Central Lampung. The results point out that during the COVID-19 pandemic, children‘s playing habits increased. It is a common situation for school-age children to spend only a few moments studying, but spending a long time playing gadgets. COVID-19 pandemic has been a life-changing experience in many families, affecting parents whose current responsibilities are not only being caregivers, but also educators to their children who are forced to learn from home. This situation deeply affects student mothers who have multiple roles at home, which are maintaining a postgraduate study, being housewives, and accompanying their children in online learning. This study aims to explore the lived experience of student mothers in parenting their school-age children during the pandemic, which is (...) viewed from the quality of parenting and parenting stress perceived by mothers during the home learning activities. The participants were four mothers who are currently undergoing postgraduate study and have children enrolled in kindergarten and primary school, and learning from home during the pandemic. The method used is qualitative, with an exploratory approach. The data were obtained through online semi-structured interviews and processed using thematic analysis methods. There are 7 themes emerged from the results, which are: 1) balancing multiple responsibilities, 2) experience in educating children from home, 3) adjusting parent expectations, 4) changes in social relationships, 5) agreements about screen time, 6) eating behaviors and physical exercises, 7) setting up new routine. The purpose of this research is to develop Komikadp educational comics. This study uses the research, research and development 4D model. The subject of this research was an expert test by the UNTIRTA Guidance and Counseling lecturer, Mr. Arga Satrio Prabowo M, Pd. Field testing by all Muhammadiyah Junior High Schools throughout DKI Jakarta. Collecting data using interviews and assessment sheets consisting of a checklist for quantitative data and a description for qualitative data. After going through the define, design, develop (...) stages, the Komikadp educational comic prototype obtained an expert test assessment and a very feasible field test with expert test details with an average value of 88.70% and field tests with an average value of 81.79%. The comments obtained from the expert test are that the comic is already very good, it needs further development and the story continues so that this comic does not stop here. The comments obtained from the field test of the media used are in accordance with the character of teenagers, interesting, creative, simple stories but rich in meaning, and very related to today's youth, it's just that the cause and effect need to be added and how to overcome them by counseling the BK teacher. The final decision obtained from the results of the expert test and field test is acceptable, appropriate, and feasible so that it can be used as a basis for carrying out the next stage without improvement. The increased use of information computer technology across the Nigerian workplace have engendered the high incident of Techno stress or Computer Induced Distress in the work space. However, proper conceptualization and measurement of this phenomenon have not been done in the Nigerian context based on the review literature. This study develops and investigate the incidence of CID, and influence of expertise and education on CID among ICT users in organisations. The study is a cross sectional survey research design. Three hundred (...) and ninty-eighty employees working in ICT related activities were selected from private and public organisations in Lagos metropolis. Results revealed a reliability and validity coefficients. Factorial validity yielded three factors; psychological, depression, and physiological strain dimensions. Psychological, depression, and physiological dimensions converged with CID and discriminated by level of computer related skills. CID was associated with use of lower order computers, and non-provision of ergonomic comfortable work station. There was significant effect of level of ICT skills on CID. The research objective was to determine the relathionship between permissive permissive parenting styles with bad moral behavior and the implications of individual counseling if there is a relathionship between permissive parenting styles with students bad moral behavior. The research method used is a correlational quantitative type with a survey approach. With a sampel size of 104 students. The questionnaire used is a likert scale wich contains 22 statement items for permissive parenting, and 11 statement for bad morals. Based on the (...) result of the pearson product moment correlation test, the results are 0,555. The correlation coefficient was consulted with table r at a significance level of 5%, namely 0,1622. The correlation coefficient of 0,555 means that the level of strength of relationship between the permissive parenting style variables with morally is not good, namely the moderate/adequate category. The correlation number is the results above is positive, namely 0,555, so the relationship between the two variables is unidirectional.the conclusion is that there is a significant and unidirectional relathionship between the permissive parenting style of the students with bad morals, which means that the higher the permissive parenting, the higher the bad morals of the students. The counseling teacher effectively implies individual counseling services to alleviate the bad moral problems of students at SMA PGRI 24 Jakarta. (shrink)

The COVID-19 pandemic had brought several negative impacts on various aspects of life, including causing stress. Stress during the pandemic afflicted all levels of society, including the COVID-19 survivor itself. One of the ways to deal with stress was the provision of psychoeducation. The provision of psychoeducation during the pandemic could be done online in the form of webinars. The effectiveness of the webinar activity was measured by analyzing the differences in the results of stress management knowledge levels and stress (...) levels in the pre-test and post-test sessions. The level of stress management knowledge was measured using a stress management knowledge scale while stress was measured using the PSS-10-C scale. There was an increase in the knowledge score of stress management and a decrease in stress score. It also showed that webinar psychoeducation had a significant effect on the level of knowledge of stress management and stress levels. These results implied that psychoeducation through webinars should be taken into account as a method to overcome COVID-19 Survivor’s stress problems in the midst of a pandemic that required us to limit social contact. Elder abuse has continued to be a serious concern to many stakeholders in the world and Nigeria as reported by researchers, as well as various media platforms. It is from this fact that this present study examined the role of social support and socio demographic factors on elder abuse in Ile-Ife Osun state, Nigeria. Theory of social exchange provided the theoretical framework while a descriptive survey was adopted. Three hundred and ninety-two respondents were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data (...) were collected using a structured questionnaire comprising demographics variables, elder abuse scale, and social support scale. Data were analysed using T-test for independence measure and analysis of variance. T-test for independent statistics revealed that social support differentiated the experienced elder abuse t = -3.33; p <.001). There were some gender differences in elder abuse = 2.20; p =.028). There was no significant relationship between socioeconomic status and elder abuse = 1.46; p =.225). The study concluded that social support and gender played a vital role with elder abuse in Osun state. The study, therefore, recommended that government should provide appropriate social support such as prompt payment of pension and gratuity, provision of feeding, good, as well as living arrangements with special attention on elderly men. Work engagement to private sector workers during the Covid-19 pandemic has been stationary or experienced a decline. One of the antecedents of work engagement is personal resources construct. One derives personal resources construct is psychological capital based on the Job Demand Resources model. This research aims to prove the moderating role of age diversity to private sector workers in connection between psychological capital and work engagement referring to the theory of “Conservation of Resource”. The measuring instrument used is Utrecht Work Engagement scale -9, Psychological Capital Questionaire and age diversity that is categorized in 4 groups. The result of the research shows that there is a significant positive connection between psychological capital and work engagement of private sector employees. In other side, age diversity does not have a moderation effect, there is insignificant interaction effect between psychological capital and age diversity to work engagement, who the majority of participants in this study have already led to the stage of maintaining. With regard to the second most participants entering the advancement stage. In addition, this research proves employee who has high psychological capital; resulting in an increase of work engagement. Mastery content service is one of the guidance and counseling topic that is quite familiar in Indonesia to facilitate participants mastering a current series of competences. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of mastery content service using symbolic modeling techniques to foster the student’s pro-social behavior. This study used the experimental design via one group pre-test and post-test, and involved 35 junior high school students. We build some examples videos that demonstrate pro-social behavior as supplementary material (...) to enhance the mastering content services during 8 sessions. The results of this study prove that there was an increase in understanding of students' pro-social behavior after being given mastery content service with symbolic modeling techniques. The interesting thing in this study presents that there are discrepancies in some indicators of pro-social behavior indicated by students, where the highest increase occurs in behaviors giving support and the lowest increase in charitable behavior in others. We realize that increasing prosocial behavior experienced by students after getting treatment is quite much influenced by some situational characteristics, and events. (shrink)

Since COVID-19 pandemic entered Indonesia, mental health experts have also investigated the increase in psychological problems, one of which is anxiety. The fear of being infected or unknowingly infecting other people is a major source of anxiety during COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to describe the differences in early adult anxiety during COVID-19 in terms of gender. This study is a comparative study at the early adult development stage in Indonesia, obtained through random sampling. The sample of this study was (...) 206 people. The analysis technique used is the Welch Test on the Rasch model with the help of WINSTEPS Version 3.73. The analysis showed that there was no difference in anxiety during COVID-19 between male and female early adulthood. This condition is caused by early adulthood male and female depending on the internet and smartphones to find information when quarantining at home, increasing feelings of anxiety about being infected with COVID-19. Academic procrastination can be defined as a person's tendency to delay activities related to academics. We can find procrastination at every level of education, especially in college. One of the causes of procrastination in students because college students have greater responsibilities and demands than before. This research analyzed the effectiveness of role playing in information services to reduce student academic procrastination by uses a quantitative methods. The type of this research is Quasi Experiment with The Non Equivalent Control Group Design. (...) The sample of this study were students majoring in Curriculum and Educational Technology, with 32 students in experimental group of and 32 students in control group. The research instrument used was a Likert Scale model, then it was analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Rasch model. Due to negative consequences associated with binge _watching involving crime thrillers it has become a topic of scientific debate. It has been mediated by biopsychological parameters under the impact of cognitive and affective aspects. To determine the role of Personality traits and Impulsivity in individuals with Crime thrillers Binge-Watching Behaviour. The present cross sectional study has been done through online digital media. The study recruited 160 individuals with administration of information questionnaires to get their demographic details, pattern of crime thrillers (...) series watching, behavioral traits and behavioral impulsivity. Crime thrillers binge-watching was reported by 80 participants (50%) with female predominance (52.9%) and a mean age of 25.2(S.D.2.4) years. Crime thrillers binge watching was found to have 6.31 as the mean maximum number of episodes in a single sitting.However,no significant differences were present with regard to demographic profile of crime thrillers binge watchers as compared to crime thrillers non-binge-watchers (p value >.05).Individuals with crime thrillers binge watching were having higher score involving neuroticism and lower score involving openness and agreeableness in comparison to non binge watching of crime thrillers with statistical significance (p value <.05). Impulsivity (BIS-15), mean (SD) score was found to be higher 30.33(4) in crime thrillers binge_ watching as compared to non _binge watchers. Loss of self Control subscale score was found to be higher in female gender 29.5( mean score) as compared to male gender indicating negative consequences in female gender with more severe loss of control. The study found Impulsivity and personality traits seem to be important pathways for crime thrillers binge watching, neuroticism is higher in binge watching while conscientiousness seems protective factor. The background of this study was the low social self-concept of adolescents in Al-Fida Orphanage Bengkulu. This research aims to determine the effect of group guidance services with peer group techniques on adolescent social self-concept. The research method used quasi-experimentation with non equivalen pre-test post-test control groups design. The study sample consisted of 20 adolescents divided into 10 expression groups and 10 control groups. Sampling techniques using purposive sampling. Data collection using self-concept questionnaires. Online learning has begun to take place in Indonesia since March 2020 simultaneously in all educational institutions due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 outbreak. Sudden changes make it difficult for students to process information and lead to various patterns of thinking errors which are known as cognitive distortions. This study aims to reveal the patterns of cognitive distortions that students have during the online lectures. The research design used is a phenomenological qualitative design. Analysis of cognitive distortions was collected (...) through in-depth interviews and document studies to 8 Banjar ethnic students. The results of the study found that there were 3 cognitive distortions, namely: catastrophizing; all-or-nothing thinking; and should statements. The effects of these cognitive distortions include feeling lazy, bored, afraid, uncomfortable, drowsy, shaking, and heart palpitations. In the context of student behavior, students also tend to neglect lectures, access social media, sleep, and go to hang out with friends. This study aimed to determine the influence of psychological impact that consist of depression, anxiety, and stress in students due to online learning in vocational higher education conducted during the Corona virus disease 2019 on student’s academic achievement. The samples in this study were 180 students of the Undergraduate Program Department of Commercial Administration of Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis. The Samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique focused solely on students who gained online learning in theory and practice courses since (...) the use of online learning because of the COVID-19. The Data was collected using a DASS 42 instrument through online questionnaire. The results of this study showed that the psychological impact of depression, anxiety, and stress experienced by students because online learning does not have a partial significant effect but simultaneously affects academic achievement. This study aims to analyze the effect of Emotional Regulation and Self-esteem on Academic Self-Adjustment. The method used is quantitative correlational. This research was conducted in the counseling study program in January-February 2021. The population of this study were students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at Cenderawasih University Class of 2016,2017,2018,2019 and 2020 with a total of 115 students. Based on the Slovin formula, 89 samples were obtained using the Proportionate Stratified technique. Random Sampling. The data collection technique (...) used an emotional regulation questionnaire, a self-esteem questionnaire and an academic adjustment questionnaire with a Likert scale assessment. This study uses simple and multiple regression data analysis. The results of this study indicate that: there is an effect of emotional regulation on academic self-adjustment with the results of R2 = 38.9% and the effect of self-esteem on academic self-adjustment with the results of R2 = 62.6%. There is an effect of emotional regulation and self-esteem on academic self-adjustment, with the result of R2 = 69.3%, while the remaining 30.7% is influenced by other variables outside of this study. Offline meetings were restricted to avoid the transmission of COVID-19, therefore, online meetings have become a new lifestyle presently. This process of adapting to online’s lifestyle happens universally in such workplaces and educational institutions of kindergartens to colleges. This sudden adaptation makes society experience some pressure which also affects an individual’s stress and wellbeing. Teachers at one of the special (...) needs schools in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, experience stress due to the pressures they had while adapting to online teachings. Resilience training is given as an intervention to help teachers decrease their level of stress. The training is scheduled for 3 days and holds 6 sessions via Zoom Meeting. The data result is analyzed using Wilcoxon differentiate test for resilience and perceived stress scores before and after the training. The result shows a difference between resilience and perceived stress scores before and after the training session with a significance score of 0,005. This result concludes that resilience training can decrease the level of perceived stress that the teachers experienced. (shrink)
