Abstract
In this paper, we will address anonymity, privacy and trust issues that arise during the research on a communication platform
for multi-modal transport. Though most logistic information is currently available in electronic form, it is not widely accessible
yet to all the parties concerned with transport. The major goal of a communication platform is to improve the conditions for
exchanging information, which should lead to better organisation/collaboration within the transport sector. We need to merit
credibility by faithfully modelling all the relevant real world interactions. Therefore, we opted for a connectivity solution in
which software agents act as representatives of the parties involved. All agents can be equipped with human-like skills and
qualities such as intelligence, autonomy, and the ability to cooperate, coordinate and negotiate.
We will demonstrate how cooperation between different transport parties can be achieved without necessarily putting all the
sensitive information on the web.
