Abstract

Resumo Partindo de um texto de Gadamer sobre a relação entre rito e linguagem, explora-se o significado da constituição linguística do pensamento para, a partir daí, perceber a dimensão ritual da linguagem e o significado do rito como articulação de um sentido que, nos limites da linguagem, representa o excesso desses limites. Nesse nível coloca-se a questão da articulação linguístico-ritual do fundamento de tudo. A doação fenomenológica do fundamento infinito na linguagem finita é que caracteriza a especificidade do rito, como linguagem do fundamento e como fundamento da linguagem. Palavras-chave : hermenêutica, linguagem, metafísica, pragmática, ritualStarting from a Gadamer¹s text about the relationship between rite and language, the meaning of the linguistic constitution of thought is explored in order to, on that basis, understand the ritual dimension of language and the meaning of rite as an articulation of a sense that, within the limits of language, actually exceeds those limits. In that level, the question about the linguistic-ritual articulation of the foundation of everything is posed. The phenomenological donation of the infinite foundation upon finite language is what characterizes the specificity of rite, both as language of the foundation and as foundation of language.
