Abstract

The aim of this paper is to introduce the importance of philosophy for children and present the importance of stories for children’s moral foundation. The research question is why philosophy for children and children’s stories are still important as an intellectual and moral foundation for the children in society.1 Tentative solution is to prove that philosophy for the children and stories can cultivate moral and intellectual understanding and attitudes because children can easily remember the characters in the stories and so, they can be guided in distinguishing between moral and immoral, that is between good and bad, right and wrong through the behaviours of the characters in stories. 2.
