Dans ce livre issu de sa thèse de doctorat, F. Jégoudez reconstitue les grandes étapes de l’évolution du concept de Bildung (éducation, formation et développement de soi) à travers l’œuvre de Nietzsche, repartant des premières occurrences de celle-ci et accompagnant l’évolution du rapport du philosophe à ceux qu’il nomme les « savants ».
