O texto apresenta elementos textuais dos escritos do jovem Marx, onde se encontra um núcleo conceitual que trata da problemática relação entre filosofia e mundo. Aspectos teóricos presentes já nos primeiros escritos do filósofo onde fica clara a exigência de promover a interação entre pensamento e realidade, ou seja, tratar da tradição filosófica sem descuidar do trato de temas e dilemas do contexto. Assim, o texto apresenta referências da posição filosófica pela qual Marx faz frente ao caráter especulativo da filosofia (...) alemã, para propor, já na revisão da filosofia política de Hegel, que a crítica do céu se transforme em crítica da Terra. O que singulariza um pensamento dessa natureza é a capacidade emancipatória da filosofia. No lugar da mera contemplação, Marx propõe a possibilidade de realizar a filosofia no mundo. Este artigo tem como objetivo compreender as transformações societárias oriundas da sociedade de consumo e como o mundo se aglutina por meio dos avanços tecnológicos, da homogeneização da cultura baseada no consumo de massa e dos processos de verticalização provenientes dos que consomem e dos que não podem, mas querem consumir. Num segundo momento, tem como propósito analisar os diferentes padrões de consumo vivenciados no Extremo Oeste de Santa Catarina, a partir da implantação da agroindústria na região, na década de (...) 70 (séc. XX). Processos tecnobiológicos implantaram um meio artificial de produtividade, consumo, rapidez e fluidez. O mundo técnico-científico rompeu com o homem natural e sua sabedoria. Restou a obediência às regras da racionalidade e a adaptação ao mercado global. Ele exige a adequação ao proposto. Os mecanismos econômicos e tecnológicos de produção e do consumo local tornaram-se tão complexos e, em alguns aspectos, tão vulneráveis, que perturbações num só ponto da cadeia de interdependência global desarticulam toda uma rede de conexões, afetando, consequentemente, todo o tecido social da região. As governments around the world imposed lockdowns or stay-at-home measures, people began to feel the stress as time dragged on. There were already reports on some individuals committing suicide. How do governments respond to such a phenomenon? Our main focus is the Philippine government and how it responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this paper, we argue that the problem with COVID-19 went forth just dealing with physical health. First, people suffer not just from being infected but the psychological stress (...) of possibly getting the virus and the toll of the government lockdown or quarantine. Second, the Philippine Bayanihan ‘We Heal As One Act’ lacks focus on mental health issues while the government's response seemed to focus on security issues. Third, there are countries around the world that have acted effectively in protecting people’s mental health. Lastly, we propose appropriate measures to help address the people's mental health while still in the pandemic and for a future one. (shrink)

Social justice is put forth as a core professional nursing value, although conceptualizations within foundational documents and among nurse educators remain inconsistent and contradictory. The purpose of this study was to explore how faculty teach social justice in theory courses in Baccalaureate programs. This qualitative study utilized constructivist grounded theory methods to examine processes informing participants' teaching. Participants utilize four overarching approaches: fostering engaging classroom climates, utilizing various naming strategies, framing diversity and culture as social justice, and role modeling a (...) critical stance. They deploy specific strategies, varying largely by race, educational background, and nursing specialty. A background in social sciences supports pedagogy that interrogates health inequities rather than merely raising awareness about disparities. Findings also reveal that faculty of color navigate institutional structures predicated upon colorblind racism and problematic views of culture, which many white faculty teaching non‐Community Health Nursing courses described doing. To enact social justice and be answerable to our communities, concerted anti‐oppression efforts are needed across education, research, practice, and policy. This includes sustained commitment to address colonialism and whiteness in every institution that defines, promotes, and claims to advance nursing so that we can fulfill our responsibility to address unjust systems and structures to serve our communities. Jacques Derrida is probably the most famous European philosopher alive today. The University of Nebraska Press makes available for the first English translation of his most important work to date, Glas. Its appearance will assist Derrida's readers pro and con in coming to terms with a complex and controversial book. Glas extensively reworks the problems of reading and writing in philosophy and literature; questions the possibility of linear reading and its consequent notions of theme, author, narrative, and discursive demonstration; (...) and ingeniously disrupts the positions of reader and writer in the text. Glas is extraordinary in many ways, most obviously in its typography. Arranged in two columns, with inserted sections within these, the book simultaneously discusses Hegel’s philosophy and Jean Genet’s fiction, and shows how two such seemingly distinct kinds of criticism can reflect and influence one another. The customary segregation of philosophy, rhetoric, psychoanalysis, linguistics, history, and poetics is systematically subverted. In design and content, the books calls into question “types” of literature (history, philosophy, literary criticism), the ownership of ideas and styles, the glorification of literary heroes, and the limits of literary representation. These two lectures by Jacques Derrida, 'Foreigner Question: Come from Abroad' and 'Step of Hospitality/No Hospitality', derive from a series of seminars on 'hospitality' conducted by Derrida in Paris, January 1996. The book consists of two texts on facing pages. 'Invitation' by Anne Dufourmantelle appears on the left clarifying and inflecting Derrida's 'response' on the right. The interaction between them not only enacts the 'hospitality' under discussion, but preserves something of the rhythms of teaching. The book also characteristically combines (...) careful readings of canonical texts and philosophical topics with attention to the most salient events in the contemporary world, using 'hospitality' as a means of rethinking a range of political and ethical situations. Ce livre est donc voué à la bizarrerie. Mais c'est qu'à accorder tout son soin à l'écriture, il la soumet à une réévaluation radicale. Et les voies sont nécessairement extravagantes lorsqu'il importe d'excéder, pour en penser la possibilité, ce qui se donne pour la logique elle-même - celle qui doit déterminer les rapports de la parole et de l'écriture en se rassurant dans l'évidence du sens commun, dans les catégories de 'représentation' ou 'd'image', dans l'opposition du dedans et du dehors, (...) du plus et du moins, de l'essence et de l'apparence, de l'originaire et du dérivé. Analysant les investissements dont notre culture a chargé le signe écrit, Jacques Derrida en démontre aussi les effets les plus actuels et parfois les plus inaperçus. Cela n'est possible que par un déplacement systématique des concepts - on ne saurait en effet répondre à la question 'qu'est-ce que l'écriture?' par un appel de style 'phénoménologique' à quelque expérience sauvage, immédiate, spontanée. L'interprétation occidentale de l'écriture commande tous les champs de l'expérience, de la pratique et du savoir, et jusqu'à la forme ultime de la question ('qu'est-ce que?') qu'on croit pouvoir libérer de cette prise. L'histoire de cette interprétation n'est pas celle d'un préjugé déterminé, d'une erreur localisée, d'une limite accidentelle. Como o adulto não indígena percebe a criança yanomami? O que nos propomos neste artigo é trazer elementos ao debate sobre a temática da criança indígena, desde uma análise comparativa das representações das crianças yanomami por meio de fotografias realizadas pelos religiosos na Missão Catrimani em 1993, onde indicava seu ambiente tradicional de educação familiar e suas diversas interações. Esse registro iconográfico, por meio de uma amostra de fotografias das crianças yanomami, comparadas ao registro autobiográfico de Davi Kopenawa, com suas (...) lembranças de infância, no final de 1950 e início de 1960, permitiu-nos uma abordagem do contexto ambiental em que essas crianças estão inseridas, ao mesmo tempo observar suas interações com os adultos e o ambiente, com ênfase nos aspectos simbólicos, culturais e emocionais. Trata-se de uma metodologia triangular, documental, fotográfica e bibliográfica. Como resultados apontados, observou-se que o contraste de duas narrativas baseadas em suportes diferentes: a narrativa visual, fotográfica, e a narrativa escrita, literária, demonstra a persistência, através da história de contato dos Yanomami, da mitologia oral na identidade cultural dessas pessoas, no final do século XX. Spinoza, le spinozisme et les fondements de la sécularisation est un ouvrage dédié à la mémoire d’Emmanuel Levinas, dont l’auteur a été l’élève durant plusieurs années. Il vise, à travers une analyse d’ordre philosophique, historique, épistémologique et théologique, à mettre au jour les conditions d’émergence interrelatées du spinozisme et de la sécularisation. Pour ce faire, il souligne, entre autres, l’importance des polémiques anti-maimonidiennes, des débats sur les attributs divins, la substance, l’infini, du marranisme et de la Kabbale sur la formation (...) du spinozisme, ainsi que son rapport à la pensée contemporaine. La question à laquelle nous tentons de répondre doit être abordée de différentes façons : elle est récurrente dans l'histoire des technologies pour l'éducation ; elle peut être pensée à l'échelle mondiale, particulièrement pour ce qui est des pays en développement ; elle concerne à la fois les sciences de l'éducation, les sciences de la communication, l'économie et les institutions. Nous évoquons d'abord les établissements scolaires sous l'angle de l'histoire des technologies pour l'éducation et des discours sur «la fin des (...) enseignants». Dans une deuxième partie, nous analysons les effets du e-learning sur les établissements universitaires et leurs enseignants. Enfin, nous nous interrogeons sur l'absence de réflexion concernant le rôle des enseignants dans les projets TICE mis en place dans les pays en développement.The question we try to answer needs to be addressed in different ways: it is recurrent in the history of technology in education, it can be thought globally, particularly with regard to developing countries, it for both science education, communication sciences, economy and institutions. We discuss first schools in terms of the history of technology in education and discourse on "the end of teachers." In a second part, we analyze the effects of e-learning academic institutions and their teachers.
